Lifestyle & Accessory Design is an area of increasing importance for global brands. The Lifestyle Accessory Design undergraduate course at Centre for Design Excellence at VGU prepares students in the challenge of designing accessories for the luxury fashion market.
This four-year degree course has a well-defined curriculum for developing integrated expertise in design methodology, traditional and innovative materials, production process, consumer behavior, market dynamics, fashion trends &forecast interpretations, business practices and project management in the field of fashion and lifestyle accessories. A strong industry orientation is reflected in its ‘Design for Business’ focus with the most successful industry education interface in student learning. The programme offers a strong multi-disciplinary edge wherein the students get an opportunity to work in wide spectrum of accessories and lifestyle products, precious and costume jewelry, leather goods, footwear, watches, giftware, tableware, silverware, and visual merchandising besides enabling students to develop their personal style, technical knowledge, achieve competence in designing accessories, creative independence to conceive and design luxury fashion ideas, and to manage the development of their accessory design projects.
